Print What You Like

I have added this web 2.0 resource in addition to others discussed within the e-learning courseware.  I have found it to be personally invaluable and wish to share the simplicity this tool offers in printing web documents.

PrintWhatYouLike   (Free download & installation in less than a minute).

If you are having trouble printing your Blogs or other web pages; then, I recommend you visit this site and simply add the "Bookmarklet" to your favourites tab on your browser. It is simple.

Basically allows you to print anything within an easily controlled environment. All you do is open up your Blog (or desired web page); go to your favourite tab and open up the "Print what you like" favourite link. You will notice a red frame open up around your blog and you can start to edit what you want to print.

I recommend turning off your background; removing all tool bars (select using the red frame then left click mouse for options); select your main blog and widen. Print it out like a book complete with pictures.

This tool will be useful if you find it necessary to print student blogs for assessment purposes or evidence; additionally, you may require an example for a meeting; or to submit to a verification of grades process, presently requiring a hardcopy format.

Hello Amanda,

I'm glad that my posting has been useful to you. I find no better feedback than this.

I will be opening this blog to the public following course assessment so that I can continue to share ICT focused on assisting Educators globally. I hope share other products with you in the future.

Kindest regards
Peter Spencer

There is nothing more annoying than pages that will not print how you want them to or print everything except for the frame that you want. This tool will allow me to edit and print exactly what I want, saving me valuable time. Thank you for the information. I will definitely be bookmarking this site.
